FAQs


Q: It is after business hours, a weekend or a holiday-  How do I get help?

A: When you dial our number you will be greeted by a recording.  Please listen carefully. You must dial the prompts to be connected to the live dispatcher. (*PLEASE NOTE- THERE MAY BE A LONG PAUSE AS THE CALL IS BEING ROUTED!)
The dispatcher will then get contact information from you.  That information is relayed to the technician on call. Our after hours calls are responded to by our own team members and not outsourced. You will get the same staff you have come to trust during regular business hours.  The technician will phone you within 30 minutes.

During your call, the technician will help you decide if they need to come physically immediately. (After hours, Sunday and Holiday rates will apply) Sometimes a part will need to be ordered and waiting until business hours is the most cost effective for you!  Payment is expected at time of service. Techs are able to take Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express and personal checks. Our techs do not carry cash to make change.


Q: I'm a do-it-yourself customer and need parts- How do I order?
A: All Temperature Systems, Inc. started as a service company. Providing sales and service includes expertise and standing behind the parts and labor.  Parts have arrived bad from the manufacturer and the do-it-yourself customer is completely without recourse when warranty it is not honored. Warranties are voided if not installed by a licensed contractor/technician.

Having our team diagnose and perform the work protects YOU, our valued customer. 

Sometimes we may be able to get a part- but it will be special ordered for you. With the exception of filters, retail sales may be subject to a transaction fee. All special orders must be prepaid and are non-refundable, non-returnable and not subject to any warranty coverage by All Temperature Systems, Inc., manufacturer or distributors.
** DUE TO LIABILITY- ANY PARTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE GAS TRAIN, GAS PIPING OR CIRCUIT BOARDS WILL NOT BE SOLD OVER THE COUNTER.



Q: How often should I replace my filter?
A: That answer depends on the size and type of filter you have installed, as well as the contaminants like pet dander and dust in your home.  Ideally,you should change filters between every month and every six months. Most one inch filters are rated for three months, while larger filters, like four to five inch models, can work effectively for six months. Give us a call to learn more about your specific filter needs, and what we can do to help you upgrade.

Q: Why should I have annual maintenance/tune-ups performed on my equipment?
A: Unless you’re an exceptionally skilled HVAC technician, there may be issues lurking that you haven’t even noticed. A little preventative maintenance can go a long way in keeping things from going wrong. Annual maintenance on your heating asystems makes sure everything is operating properly, ensuring efficient output for your system. An annual inspection can also help us catch small problems before they become bigger, saving you money in the long run. Additionally, many manufacturers require regular service to keep your warranty up to date.

Q: What is an ESA?
A: Our Energy Savings Agreement (ESA) is a program we offer our customers for annual maintenance and tune-ups on their furnaces, boilers, and central air conditioners. One of our technicians will need to perform a first time maintenance to determine if the equipment is eligible.
  Benefits of this program:
1.    Locks in the current tune up price with a $10.00 discount
2.    Receive a 10% discount on repairs, filters, and pads
3.    Always billed regular rate regardless if service is needed on overtime, weekends or overtime 
4.    Reminder tracking from office when service is due
5.    If you sell your home, this agreement is also transferable to new owners, providing additional value for your property.

Q: Should I cover my outdoor air conditioning system in the winter?
A: Yes, but only if you cover it appropriately. Rather than a blanket, which can be a compelling home for pests like squirrels and chipmunks, we suggest a tarp or unit cover to keep snow and ice out of your system without attracting wildlife.

Q: How often should I have maintenance done on my air conditioner?
A: Air conditioner maintenance should be performed on an annual basis. Temperature during the day needs to be above 68 degrees to ensure the most accurate gas pressure readings.
